CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police are investigating a stabbing that left one man with life threatening injuries.
The brutal attack happened at a home on Parson Street in the Villa Heights community.
Police tell NewsChannel 36, two men were drinking at a backyard cookout and began arguing. Authorities say Sugar Ray Robinson, 53, pulled out a knife and stabbed Anthony Leggett, 52, several times in the stomach, across the chest, and down his arm.
Medic says the victim was transported to CMC Main.
Officials say they’re searching for Robinson, anyone with information on his whereabouts should contact police.
