CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Just a few days after snow fell in the Charlotte area temperatures will be very mild on Sunday.
“With the help of some sunshine temperatures will warm into the low 60s this afternoon,” said First Warn Team meteorologist John Wendel.
Rain will move into the mountains Sunday evening, but it will not reach the Charlotte area until later Sunday evening.
“When you head to work Monday morning it will be raining,” Wendel said. “It will be with us for the first half of the day, but by evening when you’re headed home from work things will clear out.”
High temperatures Monday will be in the low 50s. Chance for rain is 80%.
Tuesday will be cold with drizzle in the area and highs in the low 40s. A warm front moves through Wednesday and the high will be in the low 60s.
