MONROE, N.C. -- Police say a 9 1/2-foot-long boa constrictor reported missing in Monroe has been found.

The snake was reported missing Friday morning from an apartment on McManus Street, according to police. That’s just off Sunset Road, a few blocks from Monroe Middle School.

Police say the 45-year-old woman who owns the snake said her pet, named Isabella, was in her apartment when she left about 6:30 p.m. Thursday.

When she returned at 8:30 a.m. Friday, the snake was nowhere to be found.

The woman said the apartment was locked when she left and when she returned.

The snake was found in the home Tuesday.
