MOORESVILLE, N.C. -- A Mooresville woman is accused of stealing someone’s checking account number and using that to pay her electric bills.
Gena Martin, 30, was charged with identity theft. She is accused of paying 32 Duke Energy bills using that stolen account number.
The investigation began in August. Martin was released on a $2,500 bond after being arrested on November 14.
