HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. -- The North Carolina Department of Transportation has announced their plans to being repairs on two major roadways following recent weather-related damage.
Officials say work on Bud Henderson Road will begin Saturday, July 20, and is expected to be completed by August 4. Bud Henderson was closed in early July due to the formation of a sinkhole.
Gilead Road, however, is not expected to undergo repairs until August 5, with a completion date of August 18. A pipe failure has caused the roadway to sag several feet. A detour is in place for traffic.
Of course, officials say, repair work will be performed weather permitting.
