DENVER, N.C. -- A late night raid of a Lincoln County home turned-up a marijuana growing operation.

Late Thursday night, narcotics investigators with the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office raided the home of 43-year-old Bryan Edward Lanning in the 7900 block of Hagers Ferry Road in Denver following a tip about the grow-op at the home.

Eight marijuana plants with a net sell-able weight of 65 ounces was seized from the property. Officials value the seized weed at $7,900.

Lanning is charged with felony manufacturing of a controlled substance, maintaining a dwelling for a controlled substance and possession with intent to manufacture, sell and deliver a controlled substance. He's also charged with one misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia and four counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

Lanning is held in the Harven A. Crouse Detention Center on a $60,000 bond.
