CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- They see dead people. Every day.
“It probably creeps some people out, yes, but in funeral, business doesn’t creep anyone out,” said Craig Maltz of Shiva Shade.
Shade is one of the people showing an exhibit at The National Funeral Director’s Annual Convention in Charlotte this week.
More than 5,000 funeral directors from across the country and 43 different countries came to Charlotte to check out the latest in funerals.
John Carmon is the association’s past president and says these days funerals are more about celebrating someone’s life. Carmon urges people to make sure their loved ones know what they want.
“It’s the largest gathering in the world of people involved in funeral services,” Carmon said.
