CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- The largest animatronic dinosaur park in the Southeast is coming to Carowinds next year, park officials announced Friday morning.
"Dinosaurs Alive!" will stretch across five acres of the theme park and feature 32 roaring, moving dinosaurs. Some dinosaurs will move and roar on command.
The largest dinosaur at the attraction will reach 40 feet high and over 60 feet long.
"'Dinosaurs Alive!' includes representation from 25 unearthed from five different continents," said Chris Kirby, Carowinds Marketing Director.
Each dinosaur will have information on how it lived millions of years ago. People will also be able to explore their own dinosaur dig site.
"'Dinosaurs Alive' will also feature a kids dig site where they can unearth T-Rex bones,” Kirby said.
