ROWAN COUNTY, N.C -- A former Catawba College soccer coach is under indictment on new child molestation charges.

Ralph Wager, 69, was served the three indecent liberties with a child indictments on Thursday morning, the Rowan County Clerk's Office said.

The Rowan County Sheriff's Office says the victim in this case was a boy, just 13-years-old at the time of the alleged incident.

Wager has placed bond, and is no longer being held in the Rowan County Detention Center.

There are multiple allegations of indecent liberties from several victims. Wager now faces multiple charges in several different cases.

On Thursday authorities added three new indecent liberties charges stemming from allegations dating back to June of 1990.

In July of this year, Wager was arrested and charged with three counts of indecent liberties with a child, crimes against nature and first-degree sex offense, all of which are felonies. The victim in that case stated the attacks occurred in the late 1980s.

Wager, a longtime fixture in the soccer community, most recently worked at the Steele Creek Soccer Club. But after his arrest, the North Carolina Youth Soccer Association indefinitely suspended him.

NCYSA oversees the Steele Creek Soccer Club and about 100 other member associations.
