CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- The Queen City is wild for the Panthers this weekend, in spite of the rainy weather.
Fans turned out in big numbers for the first of a three-day party at the EpiCentre Friday night. The city hopes the celebration will pump up everyone ahead of the game against the 49ers.
Charlotte’s official drum line, PurrCussion, kicked off the party and fired up the crowd.
Day 2 of festivities is scheduled to run from noon to 5 p.m. Saturday, and is geared more toward family fun. Attractions will include face painting, balloon animals and even Sir Purr at 2 p.m.
Organizers have moved the rally inside and out of the rain.
