MATTHEWS, N.C. -- A 4-year-old was struck by a vehicle in Matthews on Friday afternoon.
The incident happened at Oxborough Drive near Weddington Road around 3:15 p.m.
Emergency crews were on the scene for about an hour investigating the accident.
MEDIC said the victim had potentially life-threatening injuries and has been transported to Carolinas Medical Center.
