CHARLOTTE, N.C. – AirStar flew over the scene where reportedly a pedestrian was struck by a train.
According to CATS, officials a “pedestrian made contact with the train then got up and walked away”.
Crews said they were responding to the scene and trying to locate the person, that was shortly before 5:30 p.m.
As AirStar flew over the incident, there didn’t appear to be anyone in need of medical attention on or near the tracks.
Moments after "contact was made" CATS officials said that service was up and running although they were operating on a single track. Crews cautioned there may be a small delay from the station to the commuters.
Authorities said they are reviewing video to see if the incident was recorded. The pedestrian involved in the incident, has yet to be located.
