Kannapolis Police say Philip Castro Jr. was traveling north on West A Street and attempting to make a left turn onto Goldson Avenue when he lost control of his Ford Explorer.

Castro panicked and hit the gas instead of the brake, police say, and smashed into a home in the 800 block of West A Street—six-feet off the ground.

Castro, who police say lives nearby, was charged with no operator’s license and unsafe movement.
