CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Charlotte police said they’ve capture a man who stole a car in northeast Charlotte Tuesday morning.
A victim called police around 8:20 a.m. from the 1300 block of Echo Glen Road in the Hidden Valley neighborhood and reported a man stole his vehicle and threatened him at gunpoint.
“The suspect then fled the scene in the victim’s vehicle. Responding officers arrived on scene and spoke to the victim who gave a description of the suspect and vehicle,” the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department said in a statement.
John Ibn Ramadan, 32, was arrested in a parking lot nearby a short time later, police said.
Ramadan is charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and possession of a stolen motor vehicle.
