Police: 3 Charlotte churches robbed of music equipment

CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Authorities are investigating three separate Charlotte church break-ins that happened on Monday.

Churches on Albemarle, Old Pineville roads and Central Avenue all had music equipment stolen from them, according to a Charlotte-Mecklenburg police report.

Thieves stole an amplifier and base guitar from Morning Glade AME Zion Church, according to the report.

A piano and speaker was stolen from El Tabernaculo De La Uncion off of Old Pineville Road, and a keyboard and two speakers were also stolen from Come In and Dine International Worldwide ministries located off of Central Avenue.

The music equipment from all three churches are worth a total of $2,925, according to the report.

Police have not said if all three robberies are related.  If anyone has information on these three crimes they're asked to call CMPD at (704) 336-7600.
