HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. -- An observant Huntersville woman was able to get a very good description of the suspects who snatched her purse Thursday morning, allowing police to quickly apprehend the perps.

Around 11:30 Thursday, police say a woman was robbed of her purse on Cashion Road, in a residential area of Huntersville.

The woman quickly called 911 and gave a good description of the suspects and the suspect vehicle.

A Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police officer noticed a vehicle matching the description cross through an intersection near WT Harris and Mt. Holly Huntersville Road in Charlotte and attempted a traffic stop.

The vehicle took off, police say, crashed, and the occupants fled on foot.

CMPD officers were able to catch both suspects and take them into custody without further incident.

Their identities have not yet been released.
