GASTON COUNTY, N.C. –The Gaston County Police Department is asking for the public's help after a cemetery was desecrated Friday night.
According to authorities, 42 graves were damaged. The suspect or suspects overturned granite and marble tombstones throughout Bessemer City Memorial Cemetery.
The damage is estimated at $6,200. In July, law enforcement received a report of seven graves that were desecrated.
