CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Charlotte-Mecklenburg police are investigating a shooting in east Charlotte Wednesday night.  

 
Police said a man who had been shot showed up to the emergency room at Presbyterian Hospital Wednesday evening.
 
Authorities said the shooting may have happened near the Sailboat Bay Apartments on Albemarle Road.
 
NewsChannel 36 did some tracking of crimes near the apartment complex and surrounding area. 
 
CMPD records show there have been more than 30 reports of crime in the last month. They range from assaults with guns, to burglaries and vandalism. 
 
Police have not named any suspects or a motive for the shooting.
