Rae Carruth files federal appeal
Carolina Panthers player Rae Carruth was arrested in Charlotte in December 1999 after his pregnant girlfriend, Cherica Adams, was killed in a driveby shooting. In 2001, Carruth was convicted of conspiring to murder Adams.
