ROCK HILL, S.C. -- Rock Hill school leaders will spend about $2.5 million to make school safer for your kids.

NBC Charlotte is looking out for you, making sure you know about the big changes.

There will be structural changes to some buildings, security cameras in every school and on every bus, emergency training and front door buzzers.

Officials also say the plan teaches faculty and staff how to use the safety measures that are already in place.

The plan will be implemented over the next three years.
