CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) -- South Carolina Gov. Mark Sanford says he's been taking care of his four children while his wife has been on the national media circuit promoting her new memoir about the breakup of the couple's marriage.
A week after Jenny Sanford published "Staying True," Sanford told reporters in Charleston he hasn't yet read the book but he plans to do so.
The governor also said he has not watched national broadcast interviews his wife has given during the past week promoting the book. Sanford said he's been busy during the day carrying out his duties as governor and at night taking care of the couple's four sons.
Jenny Sanford filed for divorce in December on the grounds of adultery. The divorce will be final later this month.
