CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- The Charlotte region will see rain to start the weekend.
Rain began falling early Friday morning in the Charlotte region, and it is expected to continue for most of the day. Temperatures are in the low and mid 40s across the region.
A cold front will arrive on Saturday which will bring heavy rain at times and the threat for storms. Temperatures will be warmer then Friday with highs in the mid-60s.
For today, skies will be mostly cloudy. High temperatures will stay in the chilly low 40s. Expect scattered showers, low clouds, fog and drizzle. The chance of rain is 50%. Look for some light rain into the evening. Temperatures overnight will be in the low 40s.
For the playoff game, look for partly cloudy skies Sunday afternoon. We'll have a nice, dry forecast for the Panthers game. High temperatures will be in the cool mid- to upper 50s.
