Authorities picked up Snowden without incident on Thursday in Florence County, South Carolina.
Snowden has not been charged, but is being interviewed by detectives in connection with Ronny Eugene Steele's murder.
A 28-year-old man, Reuben Timothy Curry, was charged with the fatal shooting of the 57-year-old in late February.
Steele died of a gunshot wound suffered outside of a residence in the 2800 block of Wedgefield Drive on February 25.
Curry also suffered a gunshot wound, and police caught up with him receiving treatment at Carolinas Medical Center.
Police said a handgun was found near the shooting scene, and added that several shots apparently were fired.
