CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- The trends now in the data suggest very tiny snow chances for the upcoming weekend. There is still a small chance things could get more aggressive if the low develops quicker than expected Saturday into Sunday.

The main issues are the lack of moisture that will be available. The thing we will not be lacking is some very cold air. There will be a good blast of Arctic air arriving Friday night into the weekend. Highs will only be in the upper 30s to low 40s with morning lows down around 20°.

Precipitation:

Both the GFS and the ECMWF models show limited moisture with the quick moving system Saturday into Sunday. At this time I would say just some isolated flurries will be likely east of the mountains--Accumulations zero and the snow meter will remain at a 1.
