CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- One person was rushed to the hospital after being hit by a car in southwest Charlotte Wednesday night.
According to Charlotte-Mecklenburg police, the pedestrian was hit on South Boulevard between West Boulevard and Bland Street just after 8 p.m.
Paramedics said that the person struck suffered life-threatening injuries.
South Boulevard was briefly shut down from West Boulevard to Bland Street while crews investigated the incident.
Police reopened part of the road a few hours after the incident.
