Mission accomplished for an astronaut from Statesville.

Tom Marshburn is back on board the international space station Saturday night after he and another astronaut ventured outside the shuttle to fix an ammonia leak.

Mission Control says it looks like the repairs were successful.  Marshburn is scheduled to return to earth next week.

After Saturday's impromptu space walk, he tweeted -- “what a great way to spend one of my last days in space!”
