FORT MILL, S.C. – Thousands enjoyed the last day of the South Carolina Strawberry Festival on Saturday.
There were dozens of vendors, a kid’s area, and three stages around the festival grounds for more than a dozen different entertainers slated to perform.
A strawberry pie eating contest was also on the schedule as well as other attractions to enjoy at the festival. The event has been voted South Carolina's "Event of the year"
"We should break last year's (number)" said Brown Simpson, Director of the Strawberry Festival.
"We had 26,000 yesterday, mostly because of Marshall Tucker."
The festival which has become a popular event for people in the region attracted 55,000 people in 2012.
