Tests show Tega Cay water is safe

"We had another sewage spill in Tega Cay, but this time my kids were swimming in it, due to the inaction of Utilities, Inc. The workers put on gloves and boots and hazmat suits, while our kids swim in filth, and then they get to control the water testing process! I’m fed up! Here are some pics from Sunday." -- Gus Matchunis

TEGA CAY, S.C. -- There’s some good news for Tega Cay neighbors worried about a recent sewage spill in Lake Wylie.

State health officials say they’ve completed testing on lake water, and it’s okay.

Labor Day weekend, Tega Cay residents say they noticed a sewage smell, and then saw workers surrounding a leaking manhole.

One neighbors took pictures of the work, showing some employees in hazmat suits.

Angry homeowners say they received no notice from Utilities, Inc., the water company.
