CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- The Charlotte Fire Department is investigating a haz-mat spill from a tractor-trailer along Mount Holly-Huntersville Road Thursday morning.
The incident happened around 8:45 a.m. on Mount Holly-Huntersville Road near Mount Holly Road.
Fire officials were on the scene for most of the morning cleaning the incident up, and re-opened Mount Holly-Huntersville Road around 10 a.m.
The 18-wheeler spilled a container with a chemical used in the printing industry.
The Charlotte Fire Department Hazmat team was able to control the leak, and a private clean up company responded to the scene.
There were no reported injuries during the incident.
Per protocol, the EPA was notified of the chemical leak.
