CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Four masked men got away with jewelry in an attack just across the street from SouthPark Mall.
Two out-of-state jewelers were robbed at knifepoint Monday in a restaurant parking lot on Morrison Boulevard.
The two jewelers pulled into the parking lot of Rooster's Wood Fire Kitchen when four masked men armed with knives approached the vehicle. The suspects smashed in both the driver and passenger side windows, confiscated three suitcases full of jewelry, and sped off in another vehicle.
One of the victims suffered injury from the shattered glass.
There is no word yet on if the jewelers were here to do business in town, or were just passing through. Their vehicle had Virginia plates.
The suspects were last seen driving away in a black four door Saturn with a paper tag.
