KANNAPOLIS, N.C. -- Heavy winds accompanying the Thursday night storm blew a tree onto a Kannapolis home, firefighters said.
The Kannapolis Fire Department responded to a home on Wilson Street in the Carver Community around 5 p.m. to find a large tree fallen on the house.
No one was injured and firefighters helped to secure the scene. The American Red Cross is helping the residents find temporary housing.
