CHARLOTTE, N.C. –- UPS is apologizing to customers after failing to deliver some 50,000 packages in time for Christmas.

The company says bad weather in Denver is to blame for the delay.

Making matter worse for customers, UPS offices and distribution centers will be closed on Monday.

Officials won't be able to sort out the delay until Tuesday.

The company says customers who were guaranteed delivery by Christmas will get refunds.
