RICHBURG, S.C. – Two employees are accused of helping to orchestrate an armed robbery of the Waffle House in Richburg last month.
According to the Chester County Sheriff’s Office, 24-year-old Summer Alexander and 20-year-old Carrie Jo McWaters were working at the Waffle House located off of Lancaster Highway when 21-year-old Brandon Connor robbed the store.
All three were friends, and police say they arranged the robbery on December 12.
“The investigation revealed that all three had planned the robbery and after Carrie Jo McWaters and Summer Alexander got off work they meet up with Brandon Connor and split the money that was taken from the Waffle House,” the report stated.
Police say Connor came into the restaurant, showed a knife and told Alexander to give him the money from the cash register. Connor then ran out of the store and was not able to be apprehended by police.
Alexander spoke with officers after the incident and event gave a description of Connor. McWaters witnessed the robbery.
Connor was charged with armed robbery and is in jail on a $30,000 bond. Alexander and McWaters were charged with conspiracy to commit armed robbery and are each behind bars on $30,000 bonds.
