CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- The Charlotte region will see a big warm up for Tuesday, but the chance for severe weather moves in on Wednesday.
Temperatures on Tuesday and early Wednesday will be very warm. Highs might approach 70° both days, but clouds will likely keep us in the upper 60s.
A powerful cold front could bring a threat of severe weather to the Charlotte area by Wednesday afternoon.

The band of severe storms is moving across Texas, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Missouri, Louisiana and Mississippi today. These front is bringing the threat of thunderstorms and tornadoes.
Heavy rain and wind are possible for the Charlotte region due to this cold front Wednesday afternoon.
This front is expected to move in the mountain region late tonight into early Wednesday morning.
