CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Officers with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department's Violent Criminal Apprehension Team are searching for a man accused of a deadly stabbing in north Charlotte Monday night.
A murder warrant has been issued for 25-year-old Adrian Alcala.
According to investigators, Alcala stabbed a man around 8:45 p.m. inside a vehicle parked on Swearngan Road. Officers were called to the scene after the bleeding victim made his way to a nearby home and started knocking on the door. He was found lying on the porch.
Paramedics tried to perform life-saving techniques on the man, who had a faint heartbeat upon their arrival, but he died at the scene. The man has been identified as 53-year-old Thomas Lee Oleary.
Police say they believe Alcala is driving a 2001 silver Chrysler Town and Country Van with North Carolina license plate YPC-8167. He is considered to be armed and dangerous.
