HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. -- A water main break that knocked out water service to Birkdale Village Thursday afternoon was repaired just before 11 p.m.
Water service was out in the Birkdale Commons neighborhood of Huntersville near Lake Norman since around 3 p.m.
The cause of the break is not known, but crews were making repairs at the intersection of Townley Road and Birkdale Commons Parkway.
It was the second time in less than a week that Birkdale Village has had a water main break.
