CHARLOTTE, N.C. – A popular uptown restaurant that closed down earlier this year will reopen at the Village at SouthPark.
Zink American Kitchen will reopen in the space most recently occupied by M5 Modern Mediterranean restaurant. Both restaurants are owned by Charlotte-based Harper’s Restaurant Group.
M5 Modern Mediterranean restaurant closed three weeks ago due to a problem in the exhaust scrubber system, but the president of Harper’s Restaurant Group, Tom Sasser, says the change was already under consideration before the closing.
Sasser says the menu will be similar to the menu from the uptown location, but will also feature new dishes by Executive Chef Scott Wallen, who will oversee the culinary direction of the new Zink.
The restaurant hopes to reopen in mid-September.
