CMPD identifies man shot, killed in hotel

CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Charlotte-Mecklenburg police are investigating a homicide after a man was found shot to death inside a southwest Charlotte hotel room Monday night.

Police were called to the  Econo Lodge on Clanton Road around 11:45 p.m. after a report of gunshots. When officers arrived on scene, they located a man suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. 

Police identified the victim as 40-year-old Louis Henry Fuqua, he was pronounced on scene by MEDIC.

No arrests have been made in the case.
