CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- It's been a busy 24 hours for Charlotte robbery investigators.
A string of fast food holdups started with a Bojangles' in the 3100 block of Monroe Road. The Five Guys Burgers and Fries on South Boulevard was hit next, and the Burger King on Westinghouse was robbed early Tuesday morning.
Investigators say they do not believe any of the cases are connected.
"It's the degradation of society. People needing things they can't have so they have to take it," said Gary Ramsey, a customer at Five Guys.
At about 10:30 p.m. Monday, four armed men, wearing coats and ski masks, held up employees at Five Guys.
It's a scary situation for Lynn Mussen, who owns the Cluck-N-Cup next door, which specializes in chicken potpies.
"I'm very concerned because it's usually dark in the morning when we open. Therefore, we want to make sure that no one is lurking or hiding in the bushes," Mussen said.
At the Bojangles', a lone gunmen walked in around 8:20 a.m. Monday, armed with a shotgun, demanding money.
Around 2 a.m. Tuesday, three men held up a Burger King, grabbing the manager and forcing her back inside.
No one was injured in any of the robberies.
"Generally, this is a pretty good neighborhood, so there is no reason not to come back," Ramsey said. "... Crime is everywhere, even in Ballantyne, out in Piper Glenn. It's everywhere."
No arrests have been made in any of the cases. Investigators are hoping that security camera footage will help them with the Five Guys robbery.
