Firefighters battle 2-alarm fire in east Charlotte

Officials in east Charlotte are investigating a two-alarm apartment fire that damaged multiple units Thursday.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Firefighters battled a two-alarm apartment fire in east Charlotte Thursday morning, officials said. 

According to Charlotte Fire, firefighters responded to a call in the 5900 block of Farm Pond Lane off Albemarle Road around 6:45 a.m. Personnel on the scene saw flames and smoke showing, requesting more assistance at the scene.

Fire officials on the scene told NBC Charlotte that no one was injured during the fire. The cause of the blaze is still under investigation.
