CHARLOTTE, N.C. - According to witness reports, a car has driven through a Food Lion in east Charlotte and sped away in what medics are calling a hit and run Tuesday afternoon. Now a woman has been arrested following the incident.

Around 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday the car hit the entrance near the Food lion at 8010 Cambridge Commons Drive.

A female driver was confirmed to have been arrested by CMPD shortly after the hit-and-run.
