CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police are looking to identify the suspects who damaged merchandise during the Keith Scott protests on I-85, as well as the owners of the trucks whose property was damaged.
On Tuesday, September 20, protesters blocked I-85 near West WT Harris Boulevard; protesters illegally entered the trucks and destroyed merchandise, police say.
Detectives say they've already been in contact with one of the companies whose trucks were involved in the incident, but they're looking to identify the remaining. One of the trucks may belong to Performance Food Group, while another of the three vehicles was a large commercial box truck and may have been empty when entered.
