CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Funeral arrangements have been made for Keith Lamont Scott.
Scott died on September 20 after he was shot by a CMPD officer near his home in northeast Charlotte. Scott’s death led to protests that turned violent in uptown Charlotte, which resulted in over 80 arrests by Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police.
Murray’s Mortuary of North Charleston, South Carolina announced the plans for Scott’s funeral Sunday. Scott’s funeral will be held at First Baptist of James Island at 11 a.m. Thursday and a wake will be held at the Folly Road Church of Christ on Wednesday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
