Man hospitalized after shots fired at NW Charlotte bus stop

Medic says one person is hospitalized after a shooting took place in northwest Charlotte Friday night.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police says a man is hospitalized after shots were fired at a northwest Charlotte bus stop Friday night.

According to CMPD, the man was at a bus stop on Hovis Road near Ponderosa Street when the shooting occured.

The victim was transported to CMC by Medic, where he is being treated for life-threatening injuries, CMPD said.

CMPD said the suspect has not been apprehended.
