FORT MILL, S.C. -- A mother demands a protocol change after she says her daughter was humiliated over a dress code issue.
The mom says she was never notified and the teacher took matters into her own hands. The district's first response: the matter is being resolved at the school level between parents and administration.
But Tuesday, that parent took it a step further and addressed the school board.
Alicia Rogers says her 10-year-old daughter was forced to wear a jacket all day long-- even in sweltering temperatures at recess.
Never once was Rogers called to bring a change of clothes.
Now, she is asking for an apology and that the principal, parents and student all be notified next time.
The board responded Tuesday night.
"I have talked with the superintendent; he has assured me he will look at that and some of the concerns you addressed," one of the board members said.
