CHARLOTTE, N.C.-- Fourteen people are dead and many communities are still underwater from Hurricane Matthew in North Carolina.
Many of you are asking, what can I do to help in my state?
On Monday and Tuesday NBC Charlotte partnered with the American Cross for a relief drive via phone bank, for monetary donations.
During Monday's phone bank, more than $31,000 was donated to the American Red Cross. Food Lion presented a check to the Red Cross for $25,000.
The phone lines will be open again Tuesday from 4 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. The phone number to call is 704-329-3703 or you can donate online to RedCross.org.
