#Oktoberfeast giving Charlotte a taste of fall

Oktoberfeast takes over Charlotte

CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Fall isn't just in the air, it's also on the plate of Charlotte restaurants. A city-wide "holiday" specific to Charlotte is giving locals a taste of fall around town.

From Thursday, October 13 to October 27, local restaurants and businesses in Uptown and the South End are welcoming fall with "Center City #Oktoberfeast."

The two-week promotional period is designed to encourage everyone to eat and enjoy all of what Charlotte's Center City neighborhoods offer with fall-inspired food, treats, dishes and beverages specially designed by each business.

"This is the perfect time of year in Charlotte, best weather, people outside," says Center City Partners' Steven Cole. "We have small businesses and restaurants where people can stop in, get a bite to eat. Try that place they've never tried before."

Participants simply go to participating restaurants and ask to try their #Oktoberfeast menu or item.

Participating businesses include:

- Aria

- The Brass Tap

- City Smoke

- Enso Asian Bistro

- Essex Bar & Bistro

- Halcyon

- Mint Museum Uptown

- Sea Level NC

- Seoul Food Meat Co.

- Sycamore Brewing
