Police respond to shooting in north Charlotte, one seriously injured

CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Police are investigating after a man was seriously injured in a north Charlotte shooting Tuesday afternoon. 

According to Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police, officers responded to a reported shooting on Irma Street around 3 p.m. When Medic arrived on the scene, they found a man suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. The victim was taken to the hospital with what was considered life-threatening injuries. 

Police have not made any arrests in this case. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 704-334-1600.
