SANFORD, N.C. -- NBC Charlotte always enjoys sharing heartwarming stories we find, and this one might have you grabbing for some tissues.
It comes to us from a mom in Sanford -- about 40 miles outside of Raleigh.
Kristy Thomas' son, Dakota, has cerebral palsy. He's a 5th Grader at Johnsonville Elementary, and his teacher had the class write letters to Santa.
A classmate of Dakota's decide to pen a letter to Santa about Dakota.
The letter asks Santa to give Dakota the ability to play sports to give him special friends, and finally to make people be kind to him.
Kristy said the letter brought her to tears. The letter by the way is now safely on the way to the North Pole.
