ASHEBORO, N.C. -- The North Carolina Zoo will make a wish come true for a little boy battling cancer on Tuesday.
Six-year-old Parker Gaillard of Winston-Salem is battling Hodgkin's lymphoma.
Parker loves animals and wants to become a zookeeper - so the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Central and Western N.C. is making it happen.
On Tuesday, Parker will get to be a zookeeper at the North Carolina Zoo in Asheboro. Parker and his family will be escorted on a VIP tour throughout the park.
Parker will get his own zookeeper uniform and honorary badge. Zookeepers will teach Parker how they take care of animals.
We hope Parker has a very special day!
This isn't the first time the NC Zoo has made a child's wish come true. In July 2014 a girl from New York chose the Zoo as her Make-A-Wish choice.
